Tamarindo Community Development District
The Tamarindo Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on July 21, 2020 by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners, Ordinance No. 2020-19 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The Tamarindo CDD encompasses an area of approximately 106.44 of which 82.24 acres will be developed acres in Collier County, Florida. The land within the District is generally located on the north side of Sabal Palm Road, approximately a quarter of a mile east of the intersection of Collier Boulevard (SR 951) and Sabal Palm Road.
The Tamarindo CDD may authorize the general powers provided in Section 190.011, Florida Statutes.

The Tamarindo Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on July 21, 2020 by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners, Ordinance No. 2020-19. The District may exercise the special powers set forth in Section 190.012(2)(a) and (d), Florida Statutes, to plan establish, acquire, construct or reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain additional systems and facilities for: (i) parks and facilities indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and education uses and (ii) security, including, but not limited to, guardhouses, fences and gates, electronic intrusion detection systems, and patrol cars, as authorized by proper governmental agencies, provided however that the District many not exercise any police power, but may contract with the appropriate local general purposes government agencies for an increased level of such services within the District boundaries.
